MöDE Hillcrest: 30-day content plan
A 30-day plan to turn views into tours
What I’d make for MöDE with a month of creative freedom: four kinds of Reels, each with one job.
- 4kinds of Reels, each with one job
- 16Reels in four weeks, one of each kind a week
- 7,000+views to beat: my real 30-day result at MöDE
My own concept, not an official MöDE or Greystar plan.
- The studio · 559 sq ft
- Just opened up in Hillcrest
- Chic 10/10
- Amenities 10/10
- Aesthetic 10000000/10
01The thinking
- Starting point
- Lifestyle Reels already worked: 7,000+ views in 30 days, 70% from people who didn’t follow yet.
- Goal
- Turn that reach into a path: get seen, get talked about, get followed, get tours.
- Audience
- San Diego renters apartment hunting in and around Hillcrest.
- Voice
- Like a friend who knows apartments: honest, a little extra, always on the renter’s side.
02Four kinds of Reels
-
Job: get seen
Relatable POVs
Scenes every apartment hunter has lived, so people share them.
- “POV: you’re apartment shopping in San Diego”
- “POV: you tour a luxury apartment”
Measure views, non-follower reach, shares
-
Job: get talked about
Pick a side
Light debates people can’t help weighing in on, so comments do the reach.
- “Unpopular opinion, but I want a huge apartment”
- “Rooftop pool or in-unit washer? Pick one.”
Measure comments, shares, saves
-
Job: get followed
Renter know-how
Real advice renters can use, so MöDE becomes the account worth following.
- “Common mistakes apartment hunters make”
- “Questions to ask on every tour”
Measure saves, follows, profile visits
-
Job: get tours
The Apartment Diaries
One home per episode, a playful rating card and one clear next step.
- “The studio · 559 sq ft · Aesthetic 10000000/10”
- “The two-bedroom with the view”
Measure link clicks, DMs, tours booked
03The 30 days
Four Reels a week, one of each kind, so every week moves people from seeing MöDE to touring it.
| Week | Get seen | Get talked about | Get followed | Get tours |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Week 1Days 1–7 | Day 1POV: you’re apartment shopping in San Diego | Day 3Unpopular opinion, but I want a huge apartment | Day 53 mistakes people make on apartment tours | Day 7Apartment Diaries, Ep. 1: the studio |
| Week 2Days 8–14 | Day 8POV: you tour a luxury apartment | Day 10Rooftop pool or in-unit washer? Pick one. | Day 12What “look and lease” actually means | Day 14Apartment Diaries, Ep. 2: the one-bedroom |
| Week 3Days 15–21 | Day 15POV: your friends see your new place for the first time | Day 17Hillcrest or North Park: where would you live? | Day 19Questions to ask on every tour | Day 21Apartment Diaries, Ep. 3: the two-bedroom |
| Week 4Days 22–28 | Day 22POV: moving day in Hillcrest | Day 24Hot take: the best amenity isn’t the pool | Day 26Read this before you sign a lease | Day 28Apartment Diaries, Ep. 4: the view |
Days 29–30: review what reached the most new people and what booked tours, then plan next month around the winners.
04How I’d measure it
- 7,000+views in 30 days, my last month at MöDE: the number to beat
- 70%+of views from non-followers, kept or raised
- Toursbooked from DMs and the link in bio, tracked weekly
Baselines are my real MöDE results. Targets for saves, follows and tours would be set against the account’s own numbers.
See the guardrails
- Fair Housing
- Every Reel shows the home and the neighborhood, never who “should” live there, and keeps the required Fair Housing language and logo.
- Debates
- About lifestyle choices only, never about people or rent prices.
- Rent comments
- Reply within a day, kindly and with facts: current specials, the all-in monthly price and an invite to DM. Never argue; hide only hateful or harassing comments.
- Every Reel
- One hook in the first second and one next step at the end: tour, DM or link in bio.
